I’m looking for a career change. So far, here’s what I came up with for my next job:
- run for mayor of Toronto. My electoral platform would be twofold: modernize the TTC; negotiate in good faith on behalf of citizens and taxpayers.
- Import a Japanese idea: run a cat café in Toronto.
Does anyone have better ideas?
Why Toronto? Why not run for mayor of Kahului, Maui, or some other city in Hawaii? I’d much rather be married to the mayor of a city in Hawaii than the mayor of Toronto.
The Cat Café idea works in Tokyo because there are regulations that prevent people from keeping cats in their homes. You need to find a similar limitation here (or in Hawaii) and then offer a service that allows people to enjoy that limited resource in your café. Unfortunately (for you), I don’t think cats are that resource.
